  • Data are presented as % or mean±sd. #: the percentage of BAJ with increased collagen deposit was calculated as the number of BAJ with increased collagen staining increased collagen deposit observed over total number BAJ in the tissue sections. A dose-correlated increase in the number of BAJ with fibrosis was observed. : the percentage of lesion occurrence was calculated as the number of BAJ lesions observed over total number BAJ in the tissue sections. A dose-correlated increase in the number of lesions was observed. +: average size of the BAJ lesion was measured via computerised morphometric quantitative analyser (an average of three sections per animal were analysed).
