Stillborn foetuses died because of abortion (n=18), intrauterine foetal death (n=2), ablatio placentae (n=4), intrauterine asphyxia (n=4) and circulatory failure (n=1)
Causes of death of ventilated preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) were respiratory insufficiency (n=14), circulatory failure (n=11) and cerebral haemorrhage (n=2)
