A multinomial logistic regression model was used to identify those risk factors out of a larger subset of potential risk factors that were independently associated with incident sleep disordered breathing. This model was the result of entering all potential variables with p<0.40, excluding those variables assessing body fat composition in detail, and waist and neck circumference.
