The histological appearance is similar to that of actinomycosis; however, various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria have been implicated in the pathogenesis. We illustrate a rapidly progressive case of pulmonary bacterial pseudomycosis in a normal host whose presenting complaint was haemoptysis.
