Fibreoptic bronchoscopy revealed occlusion of the intermediate bronchus by yellow-white masses. The diagnosis was confirmed histologically and by positive Actinomyces culture from bioptic material. Prolonged antibiotic treatment resulted in complete recovery, without need for surgical resection.
