AB  - The second described case of solitary transient lung nodule caused by Dirofilaria immitis is reported. Diagnostic thoracotomy can be avoided with the use of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and hence a conservative serological follow-up is warranted in endemic areas.
