Of the total of patients, 20 (13.51%) suffered PE during the development of their disease. The prevalence of each histopathological type and the number of PE in each one is expressed in Table1. Thus, the most frequent histopathological type was adenocarcinoma and the most common stage 4 (Figure2). This higher prevalence of PE in adenocarcinoma was statistically significant (p 0.045). PDL1 positive patients had a higher prevalence of PE, however it was not significant (p 0.106).The prevalence of PE in patients with lung cancer is increased, especially in stage IV and adenocarcinoma.Although the prevalence of PE was higher in the PDL1 group, the results were not conclusive and further studies are required.
