AID - 10.1183/13993003.congress-2021.PA508 DP - 2021 Sep 05 TA - European Respiratory Journal PG - PA508 VI - 58 IP - suppl 65 4099 - http://erj.ersjournals.com/content/58/suppl_65/PA508.short 4100 - http://erj.ersjournals.com/content/58/suppl_65/PA508.full SO - Eur Respir J2021 Sep 05; 58 AB - Lung cancer is the one with the highest mortality in the developed world and one of the tumors with the greatest relationship with the development of pulmonary embolism(PE).We aim to analyze whether the histopathological differences are related to the development of PE.A retrospective study was carried out on a random sample of 148 on which the variables: age, gender, stage, histology and biomarkers.Most of the patients were 114 males(77%) with a mean age of 67.02 years. Of the total of patients, 20 (13.51%) suffered PE during the development of their disease. The prevalence of each histopathological type and the number of PE in each one is expressed in Table1. Thus, the most frequent histopathological type was adenocarcinoma and the most common stage 4 (Figure2). This higher prevalence of PE in adenocarcinoma was statistically significant (p 0.045). PDL1 positive patients had a higher prevalence of PE, however it was not significant (p 0.106).The prevalence of PE in patients with lung cancer is increased, especially in stage IV and adenocarcinoma.Although the prevalence of PE was higher in the PDL1 group, the results were not conclusive and further studies are required.
