Social isolation measures have aimed to mitigate this risk to vulnerable groups; however, such interventions can have negative mental health impacts [2].People with asthma are more vulnerable to the negative mental health impact of lockdown. This is not explained by mental or physical comorbidities and highlights the need to provide support for anxiety and depression in younger people with asthma. https://bit.ly/3tEblYSWe are extremely grateful to all the families who took part in the ALSPAC study, the midwives for their help in recruiting them, and the whole ALSPAC team, which includes interviewers, computer and laboratory technicians, clerical workers, research scientists, volunteers, managers, receptionists and nurses.
