The aim of this study was to create a national plan against TII in Iran.Methods: This was a cross sectional study with a standard tobacco interference index questionnaire with 20 indicators of 7 main groups; each index is having a score of 0-5. The lower score indicate the better compliance of article 5.3 guidelines. The collected data was evaluated by expert panel during April to May of 2018. The report was present to the Ministry of Health (MOH) officials and followed up.Method: Iran reached 27 points from 100. Indicator No.19 showed that here is no national plan relating to TII. The report was evaluate on deputy health of MOH and discussed in national tobacco control committee.Conclusion: It showed an acceptable government effort in the implementation of WHO FCTC article 5.3. Outside the MOH, other sectors are unaware of this article and have not taken any action against tobacco industry.
