However, there is no data on the level of these markers in pregnant with CAP on the background of antibiotic therapy (ABT).Aim: to study changes in levels of inflammatory markers (PCT, C-RP) in pregnant with CAP.Materials and methods: we studied levels of PCT and C-RP in two groups of pts. Group 1 {\textendash} 45 pregnant with CAP (age (M {\textpm} m) 28,4 {\textpm} 1,0 yrs., at term 28,5 {\textpm} 0,9 wks.), before antibiotic prescription (visit 1) and on the 5th day of therapy (visit 2). Group 2 {\textendash} 15 healthy pregnant (age 31,1 {\textpm} 2,2 yrs, at term 33,7 {\textpm} 1,2 wks). All pts. from group 1 admitted diagnostic criteria for CAP and had significant clinical improvement by the fifth day of treatment. Table 1 shows the results of comparison of the studied markers between groups and visits.Visit 1Visit 2GroupPCT Me [25{\textendash}75\%] ng/mlC-RP Me [25{\textendash}75\%] mg/lPCT Me [25{\textendash}75\%] ng/mlC-RP Me [25{\textendash}75\%] mg/l10,17 [0,12{\textendash}0,20]*◊32 [18{\textendash}65]*◊0,05 [0,04{\textendash}0,09]∧6 [4{\textendash}12]∨20,047 [0,025{\textendash}0,10]2,05 [1,8{\textendash}2,9]*- p = 0,000 between visits by Wilcoxon; ◊- p = 0,000 with group 2 by Mann-Whitney;∧ - p = 0,3 with group 2 by Mann-Whitney; ∨ - 0,000 with group 2 by Mann-WhitneyConclusions: in pregnant with CAP, on the 5th day of ABT levels of PCT, unlike C-RP, decreased to the numbers comparable with healthy pregnant.}, issn = {0903-1936}, URL = {https://erj.ersjournals.com/content/48/suppl_60/PA2588}, eprint = {https://erj.ersjournals.com/content}, journal = {European Respiratory Journal} }
