The executive summary of the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) 2023 report was recently published in the European Respiratory Journal [1]. While major revisions were made across all chapters, we are very interested in the revised COPD definition and newly defined taxonomy (etiotypes).
