Abstract

Introduction and Objectives: Interstitial lung disease (ILD) can occur in up to 90% of patients with Scleroderma, being the most frequent all-cause mortality. In recent years, new tools have appeared for these patients, as the SADL mortality prediction model that includes smoking history, age, and percentage of pulmonary diffusion (DLCO). The aim of the study is the application of this scale in our patients.

Material and Methods: Observational retrospective study of patients with diagnosis of ILD and Scleroderma from February 2014 to January 2021.

Results: We included 23 patients: 87% women, age 54 ± 12.7 years. The baseline characteristics of the population are represented in Table 1. Application of SADL scale and patients’ mortality is shown in table 2.

Conclusions: The SADL scale predicts satisfactorily mortality in our patients with Scleroderma and ILD involvement, being an interesting and useful tool to consider in the assessment and therapeutic approach of these patients.
