Abstract

Background: The goal of This study was to determine the Lung HRCT Scan finding in the PPD positive (PPD>10mm) cases of the family members or person who had close contact and with positive BK sputum Smear of pulmonary TB Patients.

Methods:This was a prospective cohort study on 38 cases PPD Positive who had close contact with positive BK sputum smear from Sep- 2009 to sep2012 In Bandar Abbas,Iran.we checked ESR, smoking,PPD size,AGE and SEX with Lung HRCT Scan Finding.Data were analyzed by software SPSS19 and involved both descriptive and inferential statistics including Chi-Square test and ANOVA.(P<0.05)

Results:In this study Mean age 32±13,45% Male,55% Female and 37% were Smoker. Lung HRCT Scan finding.

No Significant correlation was not find between PPD size,ESR,AGE,Smoking and sex with Lung HRCT Scan Finding(P>0.05).

Conclusion: In PPD Positive Cases who had close contact with Positive BK Sputum Smear, Lung HRCT Scan findings has not correlation with ESR, PPD Size, Smoking, SEX and Age.
