Objectives: To evaluate the impact of RRP on functional status and quality of life in patients COPD D. Methods: Retrospective analysis of COPD D patients who underwent to a RRP. Exercise capacity (6-min walk test-6MWT), symptoms/health status (mMRC; CAT), anxiety and depression (HADS), ability to perform activities of daily living (LCADL) and quality of life (SGRQ) were assessed before and after the RRP. Results: 21 patients were included: 85,7% males, mean age of 60.6 years and 85,7% had smoking history. FEV1 post-dilatation (mean) was 42.1±13.5 %; Distribution of patients by stages: 24% II, 57% III, 19% IV. Mean duration of the RRP was 12 weeks. Post-RRP reassessment at 8 month (mean). 6MWT was performed prior to RRP in 17 patients (81 %). The mean distance increased: 395m to 421m, verifying a minimal important difference (26 m) in 8 patients (47.1 %). An improved was found in the degree of dyspnea, health status, symptoms of depression and anxiety, activities of daily living and quality of life: mMRC (21 patients) with a mean improvement of 1 point in 47.6 % of patients (n = 10), CAT (12 patients) improved 8 points (mean) in 67 % (n = 8); LCADL (14 patients) improved 5 points (mean) in 79 % (n=11), HADS (15 patients) with improvement of 5 points on average in 47 % (n=7), SGRQ (16 patients) improved of 75 points (mean) in 14 % (n=14). 11 patients had a one year follow-up, which 2 made a “step-down" to stage B. Conclusion: This study demonstrated the benefit of RRP in improving the functional capacity and quality of life of patients with COPD stage D. %U
