The priming is a potential source of error. The aim of the study was to obtain opinions on the new inhaler [Spiromax] in doctors and nurses. Material and methods: It was conducted semi-quantitative market research with qualitative face to face interviews (each 75 minutes). HCPs tried out the device – questionnaires and noted down their observations. There were 181 HCP interviews in 9 European countries. Results: HCPs viewed of what the ideal inhaler should provide to meet their needs: (top 3 mentions)easy handling; confirmation of successful inhalation; convenient, ergonomic size and shape.View this table:Tabl.1 New device or current device ? Which one do HCPs find more intuitive?89% of HCPs using the current device [Symbicort Turbohaler] find the new device [Spiromax] more intuitive.Three in four HCPs stated that the new device comes close(r) to their perception of an ideal inhaler. Conclusions. In HCPs opinion, the new device [Spiromax] was viewed to be preferred device than currently used inhaler and has characteristics that come close(r) to the ideal inhaler.
