Plasma SP-D, spirometry and smoking status evaluation were performed for all persons.Results. In accordance with smoking status all study population was divided on three groups: Group I – persons who have never smoked; Group II – current smokers and Group III – ex-smokers.All groups were similar regarding to sex, age and spirometry data.SP-D level in persons with different smoking status presents in table 1.View this table:Conclusion.Both current and ex-smokers with COPD have higher SP-D level than persons, who have never smoked, however only for current smokers this difference is statistically significant.
