TB in chronic kidney disease (CKD) has an incidence between 6.9-52.5 times compared to the general population {Hussein, M.M Semin Dial, 2003}. There is insufficient data on TB in CKD in the U.K.MethodsA retrospective study looking at the epidemiology and natural history of active TB in CKD between 2000 and 2010 in Birmingham, UK. Treatment was well tolerated but we had 5(9%) deaths.ConclusionExtra-pulmonary TB is more common in CKD and diagnosis is difficult. We had a lower mortality compared to the literature.
