AB Introduction:Understanding a COPD patient’s health status is an important part of overall patient management. And health status are need to be monitored regularly in routinely practice. A number of questionnaires are used to assessment health status in COPD, including CRQ, CCQ, SGRQ, CAT and mMRC. The mMRC and CAT are simpler than others and have been recommended by GOLD 2011. But whether these two assessment tools are agreement is still unknown.Methods:The Standardized COPD management plan database was utilized to this study between August 1, 2010 to January 31, 2013. Subjects were included in this study if they completed mMRC, CAT and spirometry at same visit.Results:A total of 1294 subjects had been included in this study. The CAT score had only a weak positive correlation with mMRC(r2=0.220).The 1.96SD of CAT-adjmMRC score was 16.74 which were 8 fold more than MCID of CAT (Figure 1 A and B). Using No4, 5 and 6 question of CAT could estimate the score of mMRC. Although the discriminate function which used mMRC score to differentiate low/high symptom classified by CAT 10 suggested that 1 score was best (Figure 1 C), more than 1/5 patients could not be classified in the same group.Conclusions:MMRC and CAT are inconsistent. We should carefully chose mMRC or CAT to classification low/high symptom in routinely practice.
