This paper aim was to investigate the progression of tuberculosis in children with HIV-infection.Materials and methods .23 case records of children at the age from 0 to 4 years, with HIV-infection and thoracic tuberculosis were observed .12 patients were boys, 11 patients were girls.Results. At the majority of patients disseminated and generalized primary tuberculosis was diagnosed.Circumscribed forms of thoracic tuberculosis twice more often were registered in children with moderate immunodeficiency. At all children generalized adenopathy and hepatomegaly was established. Only at 30, 4% of children moderate fermentaemia was detected.Protracted fever was noted at 47,8% of children with tuberculosis/HIV. Catarrhal changes in the lungs noticed in 73,9% of children. Psychomotor retardation was often observed in children with the expressed immunodeficiency. Anemia was noticed in 47,8% of children, moderate leukocytosis in 13,1%, ESR within 20-60 mm/hour in 86,9 %.Mycobacteria in sputum were found at 21,7 % of patients. Results of Mantoux test with 2 TU (tuberculin units) were negative in 86,9 % of patients. Radiological signs was correlated to the intensity of the pathological process. However, in 65,2 % of children the complicated course of tuberculosis was established. Conclusion: clinical progression of tuberculosis/HIV in children is distinguished by many-sidedness of clinical feature of disease with prevalence of the general toxic syndrome and complicated courses.
