The functional capacity evaluation can be performed by clinical tests (six-minute walk test (6MWT) and Glittre ADL-Test (TGlittre) and by questionnaires Pulmonary Functional Status Questionnaire, Dyspnea-Modified version (PFSDQ-M), Human Activity Profile (HAP) and mortality by the BODE index. Objective: Verify if there is correlation between the original BODE index and modified BODE using the result of TGlittre, PSFDQ-M and HAP. Methods: 28 patients with COPD aged ≥ 40 answered both questionnaires (PFSDQ-M and HAP) and underwent the 6MWT and TGlittre. The original BODE index and the modified BODE index of each patient was also calculated. Results: There was an excellent correlation between the original BODE and BODE-TGlittre (r = 0.913 p ≤ 0.001), the BODE PFSDQ-M (r = 0.905 p ≤ 0.001) and BODE HAP (r = p ≤ 0.894 0.001). Conclusions: The results of the questionnaires (PFSDQ-M and HAP) and the TGlittre can replace the 6MWT in the original BODE index.Financial support: CNPq. ER -
