Therefore we conducted a prospective multi-center study. Methods: Clinical tests and questionnaires were performed at the beginning (t0) and the end (t1) of a 3-week in-house rehab, followed by questionnaires 3, 6, and 12 months after discharge (t2, t3, t4). 278 consecutive patients with sarcoidosis were included and 86%, 82% and (up to now) 77% of them returned the questionnaires at t2, t3 and t4. Mean age 49.1±9.7 years, 47.6% [male], 43.7% under systemic corticosteroids. Results at t1-t4 (preliminary data) are displayed in table 1. P value versus t0 < 0.05 =*, < 0.01 = **.View this table:table 1Discussion: We found significant and clinically meaningful short term results concerning exercise capacity (6MWD), quality of life (SGRQ, SF 36), fatigue (FAS) and dyspnea (MMRC). Significant effects on quality of life (SF 36 mental health, SGRQ activity), fatique and dyspnea (MMRC) were seen even after 1 year. Conclusions: Pulmonary rehab seems to be an effective adjunct in the management of sarcoidosis. ER -
