Comprehensive treatment of nasal endoscopic surgery including nasal endoscopic surgery and medication, which can significantly improve nose-pulmonary symptoms and make sinusitis and asthma easier to be controlled by medication.Method: This study involved 23 asthma patients with nasal polyposis and chronic sinusitis. They were assessed with asthma control test (ACT) and pulmonary function test. Subjective nasal obstruction assessment was done according to the nasal obstruction symptoms rating scale (NOSE).Other subjective sinonasal complaints were classified using VAS carts (visual analogue scale). Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) was performed. Pulmonary function tests, clinical control levels of asthma, NOSE and sinonasal changes were reevaluated at the postoperative 3rd month.Results: Mean FEV1 (74.2\%{\textpm}11.9, 87.6\%{\textpm}9.4) and FVC (70.8\%{\textpm}10.4, 87.8\%{\textpm}10) increased significantly three months after operation, however mean FEV1/FVC (87.6{\textpm}5.4, 83.90{\textpm}8.0) did not change (p\<0.05).According to ACT, number of patients under control and uncontrolled were 8/17 and 15/6 preoperatively and postoperatively respectively. There was an improvement in nasal congestion or stuffiness (69.5\%), nasal blockage or obstruction (65.2\%), trouble breathing through nose (73.9\%), troublesleeping (52.1\%), unable to get enough air through nose during exerciseor exertion (43.4\%); all differences were significant (p\<0.05).Conclusion: Uncontrolled asthma associated with nasal polyp and chronic rinosinusitis can benefit from FESS in terms of pulmonary function test, asthma control level, nasal blockage symptoms and other sinonasal complaints.}, issn = {0903-1936}, URL = {https://erj.ersjournals.com/content/48/suppl_60/PA4201}, eprint = {https://erj.ersjournals.com/content}, journal = {European Respiratory Journal} }
