The disease is known to have many risk factors.Aim: to stady activity of proteinas-inhibitors enzymes and secretory slg A of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.Materials and methods: 76 COPD patients were examined and divided into two groups: 1-st 32 smokers with high level of nicotine dependence (male; age 54.1±3.5 yrs.; ill for 15.3±1.2 yrs., smoking history - 36.7±2.9 yrs.) 2nd group included 30 non-smokers (male; age 53.9±2.5 yr.; ill for 15.3±1.2 yrs.) Pulmonary function test (spirometry) was performed in both groups of patients. The state of PIS was assessed by means of evaluating the activity of tripsin (T),α1-antitripsin (AT), secretory slg A in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF). View this table:alAT, T, secretory slg A of patients with COPDIn the group of patients with COPD (group 1) we observed increased activity of tripsin and decreased activity of slgA, alAT in BAL in comparison with the control group. Conclusion: in BAL of COPD patients changes of non-specific resistance of bronchial tree were revealed.
